Where are all the female surfing photographers?

If you are interested in who has received an invite to submit a surf photo for this exhibition, read further. So far 90 photographers have received an invite from amateur to professional. Not just surfing photographers but sport and press photographers have also been invited, even some of the older lads.
While researching the history of Australian surfing photography it has become glaringly obvious there are very few female surf photographers out there in Australia. There are only three women on the list! Where are they? Why aren't women taking this up as a career choice?

Four tribes, one love

It’s a very rare thing that 4 tribes can be brought together to celebrate one love!

You have an opportunity to take part in an historical event where one love unites you all!

Whether you are a surfer, surf life saver, sports mad or artist all of you have something in common this year. That common thread is surfing photography. This year in December we will be celebrating 100 years of Australian surfing photography in Yamba, NSW.

This is the second call for entries and is a reminder for those of you who are thinking about submitting two photos for this historic exhibition, to start thinking a little faster.

Please read your personal invitation (attached). If you’re not up for it then forward it onto someone you know who may like to contribute.
YOU HAVE ONLY THREE WEEKS TO DO SO.

From previous experience amateur photographers usually are very quick on the uptake of these sorts of invitations. Don’t be left out.
